While in high school I set out to beat the SAT. After laboring for many frustrating months through prep courses and private tutoring sessions with little results, I sat down and devised my own system. I realized there were many patterns of the test that my instructors had overlooked. With my own methods, I eventually scored in the top 99-percentile and went on to earn a degree from Harvard.
